about us.

WHAT DO WE DO ?

Folio spends the fall semester collecting submissions of poetry, prose, and art from undergraduate students around Southern. Throughout winter break, our editors read through all of the submissions and determine which pieces we wish to publish, and then dedicate the spring semester to creating and printing the magazine. Copies of the magazine are available for free around campus beginning in early May.

We also organize regular open mic readings, where anyone is welcome to present their work or simply listen to others sharing. Information on everything from our open mic schedule to our submission guidelines can be found on this page or on our Instagram @folioscsu.

WHO ARE WE ?

The Folio Art and Literary Magazine has been publishing student work since 1948. We accept art, poetry, prose, and creative nonfiction, and are looking for new submissions every fall semester. For more information, contact folio@owls.southernct.edu.
